There is a chorus by David Crowder that sings “heaven came down and glory filled my soul.” That seems to sum up the theme of today better than anything I could conjur up on my own. There are some days where the imminent presence of God is so tangible that it erases all doubt and worry and concern this side of heaven and breathes a peace that passes understanding, and you find yourself thinking “what on earth was I so worried about yesterday?” Those are the days where Jesus whispers “every little thing’s gonna be alright, every little thing is gonna be alright.” Those are the moments that we cling fast to, that we store up in our hearts for the rainy days. It seems as if some of us carry the weight of worry more than others. Perhaps our skin is thinner, perhaps we just have a low tolerance to pain. Whatever the case, we must carry the sorrows and joys side by side to the feet of Jesus, revel in His glory, and wait, until heaven comes down, and glory fills our souls.
